Who is Mrs Hannah?

Hannah Rothwell is an American English teacher finding new and creative ways to connect with her students so they can learn English and have fun! She is from Northern Virginia (near Washington DC) in the United States and has lived and worked in Uzbekistan for the past 3 years. She runs a social media project- @MrsHannahEnglish to connect to students all around the world with short and engaging English language content. Together with her husband, Mr Donyor, she opened Mrs Hannah English Center in Fergana, Uzbekistan.

Hannah Rothwell worked for one year at a private international school in Amman, Jordan teaching English to primary school children. She then received a Fulbright award to work as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) at Fergana State University, where she worked for two years. She later worked as the resident English Language Educator (ELE) at the American Corner in Namangan (CAN) and taught classes at Namangan State Institute of Foreign Languages. She is currently teaching online masters degree classes at Webster University Tashkent, while running Mrs Hannah English Center in Fergana with her husband.

  • Mrs Hannah received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics with a double major in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2019.

  • Mrs Hannah Received a Master of Arts (MA) in Education and Innovation from Webster University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2022.

  • Mrs Hannah is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education (EdD) focusing on Transformative Learning in the Global Community from Webster University in St Louis, Missouri.
