Critical Disability Studies are an application of Critical Theory which focuses the lived experiences of people with disabilities at the center of phenomenological or experiential analysis. As a marginalized group which is rarely considered in the development of educational systems, learners with disabilities are often disadvantaged compared to their able bodied peers when navigating formal and informal educational institutions and their requirements.
