“Love and Responsibility”, by Karol Wojtyła (1960)

An excellent and foundational work on the philosophy of personalism and its impact on relationality. Influenced by the phenomenology developed by Stein, Husserl, and others in the early to mid-20th century as well as the theological rationalism of Thomas Aquinas and other influential doctors of the church. A masterful blending of the secular responsibilities of relationality (both romantic and non-romantic) and the theological underpinnings of human dignity as deriving from the unique status of man in creation.
